Beka has been reading and writing for as long as she can remember. In her grade school years, she asked her friend if it was okay that she read a book while they were hanging out. With a bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in literature, it is clear that Beka has not lost her love for reading. Her journey with writing began when she wrote mediocre fiction in middle school. Throughout high school and early college, her writing evolved and often took the format of lengthy Instagram posts and blogs. A few years ago, however, a friend inspired her to write a small creative piece every single day. It was in this season that she realized the depth of her passion for writing, and she has written consistently ever since. In everything she writes, whether it’s poetry, prose, or poorly-composed thought digressions, she strives for authenticity. It is her hope that her words will both acknowledge the darkness in the world and point towards the light, inspiring readers everywhere to see the magic and glory abounding all around them.

A Lexington, KY native now living in Nashville, TN, Beka spends her free time drinking coffee, hiking, or exploring the city one small business, bookstore, or coffee shop at a time.
